A Phrase a Day - 3

Hi Everyone!

Today, we are going to talk about something very pleasant which is LAUGHING!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

“TO Laugh your head off”

-This happens when you start laughing so hard and loudly, without controlling yourself and you even get out of breath! This usually happens at school, when, during a class, you start laughing so bad and can’t do anything to stop, even in front of your teacher(I prefer not to comment what happens right after!).

Examples:

*He laughed his head off when he read the letter.

*I laughed my head off when Mr. Quack said hello to me.

“Horse-Laugh”

-It means a very LOUD laugh.Comes from the fact that when some people laugh, they sound just like a horse.

Example:

*Her horse-laugh is such annoying!

“The Laugh was on me”

-It means that I was being picked on.

Example:

*I’m so shamed that she was picking me on!I mean, the laugh was on me and I couldn’t help crying that way.

So, people, we already Laughed our heads off just like horses and without the laugh on us.

It’s time to go but don’t forget: It doesn’t hurt to smile!

KEEP SMILING FOR NOW AND SEE YOU NEXT TIME!
